Every month, thousands of personal prayer requests are sent to CLA.  Our staff prays over each one individually and collectively in our devotions, but we would ask that this month you join us in asking God to help those who have requested prayer from CLA.  As you mention our ministry to the Lord in prayer, remember the cases we are handling this month.

Prisons Cutting out Religious Materials:  The Federal Bureau of Prisons has begun eliminating most religious texts from prison chapels and libraries.  Congressmen are questioning the wisdom of this policy and decision.  Please be in prayer that this decision will be reversed and that those in prison will receive access to more, not less, spiritual resources.

Supreme Court Hearing Cases:  The Justice Roberts' Supreme Court has begun hearing cases for its second term.  Please be in prayer for these nine men and women as their decisions have such a profound impact on our nation.

Corporation Held Accountable:  Praise the Lord that information prepared by attorneys for CLA was crucial to prevailing in a religious discrimination complaint filed in IDAHO after a major corporation refused to hire a job applicant because of her religious conviction against working on Sundays.

What's in a Word?:  Pray for a fourth-grade student in TENNESSEE who was reprimanded by a teacher for politely using the word "hell" in explaining her religious beliefs to a friend.

Job in Jeopardy:  Pray for an employee at a NEW YORK state prison who is being investigated after responding to an inmate's questions about religion.  State workers are prohibited from discussing religion with clients or customers, something this worker did not previously know.  He is very concerned about losing his job.

Religious Hostility Toward Church Outreach:  Pray for a bus ministry in IOWA where an apartment manager is very hostile toward the Gospel and toward the church ministering to children at that complex.

Zoning Issues Ongoing:  Pray for land-use disputes NATIONWIDE.  Remember in particular, a church in INDIANA and a Christian school in CALIFORNIA as decisions are being made this month.  A ministry's right to use its property is one of its most fundamental freedoms.

Spiritual Wellness Allowed in the Workplace:  Pray for a Christian company in ALABAMA that has agreed to allow a booth for spiritual wellness at the company Wellness Fair.  The booth is being sponsored by Bible-believing Christian employees.  Pray that many employees will respond to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Christianity Course in Public School:  Pray for churches in SOUTH CAROLINA who are supporting the desire of a local school to teach an elective course in Christianity.  The proposal is being opposed by anti-Christian legal groups.

Homosexual Agenda Being Pushed by College:  Pray for an elementary education student at a WISCONSIN college who is being forced to read children's literature that supports acceptance of homosexual relationships.  The college is encouraging its education students to promote this reading material to their elementary students after they graduate.
