Anti religious Bigotry on the Rise

Pray for a high school student in TEXAS who was reprimanded by her teacher for saying “bless you” to another student who sneezed in class.  The principal backed up the teacher, because other students might be “offended by this religious speech.”  This is not the first time CLA has received a similar call.  Please pray for all our nation’s public schools where religious bigotry by teachers and school officials is becoming rampant.

Noah is a Hero Too

Praise the Lord that attorneys for CLA were able to resolve a situation in which a LOUISIANA Kindergarten student had been told he could not choose Noah when asked to talk about one of his heroes.  The law requires that schools permit students to choose religious topics for assignments if they otherwise meet the academic requirements.

Book Censorship

Pray for a PENNSYLVANIA parent who is attempting to donate religious books to his school library.  School libraries are permitted to have religious as well as secular books.

Reprimanded for Purity

Please pray for a Christian school guard in MINNESOTA who was reprimanded for discussing sexual purity with a student after the student’s parent complained about this interaction.

Religion Banned

Pray for a student in WASHINGTON who is concerned that his school blocks access to religious websites.  He is attempting to have this policy changed.

Jesus’ Name is Under Attack

Pray for city councils all across America where prayers in Jesus’ name are being challenged as unconstitutional even though the first prayers at our nation’s Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1774 were offered in Jesus’ name.  Pray for one particular situation in NORTH CAROLINA where CLA has become involved.  If the attacks on prayer in Jesus’ name are successful, the prayers offered at our nation’s founding convention would be declared unconstitutional.

Remembering the Sabbath

Pray for a store owner in OKLAHOMA who is required to pay a fine to her mall landlord because she has a religious conviction against opening her store on Sundays.

The Cross Will Remain

Praise the Lord that a CALIFORNIA court has ruled that the Mount Soledad War Memorial Cross in California will remain in place and has reversed an award of attorney fees to the ALCU attorney who attempted to have the cross removed.

Day Care Standards

Pray for a Christian day care in TEXAS where an employee lied on a job application and must now be terminated because her life style is inconsistent with the standards required for this program.

Right of Conscience

Pray for an operating room nurse in CONNECTICUT who has been told that even though she will not be required to actually participate in abortions, she is still required to set up the operating room for these procedures, which she considers to be murder.

Speech Censors

Pray for employees in TEXAS who enjoy talking about religion at lunchtime, but a co-worker who has overheard their conversations is insisting that these discussions cease because overhearing them is offending her.  Offense has never been a reason to censor speech in America.

Not So Friendly?

Pray for a Christian in NORTH CAROLINA who did not obtain a waitress job because of her conviction against Sunday work.  She is currently appealing to the corporate management of this generally family friendly establishment.

No Bible Here!

Pray for employees at a HUD retirement home in TENNESSEE who are worried that lunchtime staff Bible study might be banned.  Attorneys for CLA have provided legal information that protects their right to have the Bible study.

Church Contract Problems

Pray for a church in OHIO that is having a contract dispute with a company that incorrectly installed equipment on church property and is now refusing to correct the mistake.
